(I met Cari in the fall of 2013, when I had first moved to Madison. Since then, she and I have spent time on the yoga mat together, camping all over Wisconsin and eating a whole lot of snacks. I’m so excited to share her with you all!! -Annie)
I’ve always felt the most alive playing soccer or exercising.
In fact, because of this I wanted to be a personal trainer in high school, but at the time it didn’t seem like a realistic pathway. Instead, I started studying to be a neuroscientist. I found out I am more interested in the practical application of science and after trying a few different paths out, here I am anyway, a yoga teacher, soccer coach, and personal trainer.
Yoga and strength training help me keep perspective, nourish and love my body (not punish it), and live more boldly. I believe that love and compassion stem from introspection and taking care of one’s own mind body and spirit. By guiding others on their self-care journeys, a positive impact is made that extends beyond our sessions!
This is the feeling of exercise I strive to bring to those I coach, in addition to cues that help them get into strong positions they can own. I love watching my clients gain confidence and authority over their movements with time. I’m especially passionate working with girls and women to guide them as they practice being more free and powerful.
